 1999
 Mike Wagner won 4 varsity letters: 2 in football and 2 in basketball.


After his senior football season, Mike received the team MVP award and was selected 1st Team All WOL QB. In addition, Mike was named 1st Team All-Ohio at QB and was selected as one of the top 100 players in the US. During his senior year, Fairmont East was Co-Champions in WOL football and WOL Champions in basketball. After high school, Mike attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for his undergraduate work. His post graduate work in Osteopathic Medicine was at Kirksville College in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Wagner has a family practice in Tawas City, Michigan where he resides with his wife.

 JoAnn Kurz earned the equivalent of seven varsity letters, having competed in field hockey, basketball and tennis at Fairmont East High School during the days of the GAA.

Joanne and her field hockey team went 8-0-0 her senior year, and she was voted Most Spirited. In her sophomore year, the tennis team finished 8-0, the first undefeated season for East. JoAnn played second singles, and her record was 8-0 with 7 shutouts. She was ranked #1 in 16-and-under by the Ohio Valley Tennis Association and #1 in doubles by the OVTA. She was ranked #6 in doubles in the Western Section of the United States and received a #9 national ranking in doubles by the OVTA. She was ranked #6 in doubles in the Western Section of the United States and received a #9 national ranking in doubles by USTA with her sister, Suzy, in her junior year, she went 7-0 with 3 shutouts and was ranked #2 by the OVTA in 18-and-under singles and #1 by OVTA in 18-an-under doubles. In JoAnn's senior year, she played first singles with a record of 11-0 and 8 shutouts and was ranked #1 in 18-and-under in Ohio. With a career record of 26-0. JoAnn set a school record for the longest career winning streak, and she was the 1973 Montgomery County Women's Open Singles Champion.  JoAnn works in the investigative branch of the FDA in Washington Stat and has two children, Steven and Michelle.

 Coach Larry McVey

Larry McVey was inducted into the Fairmont Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday January 28, 2012 at Kettering Fairmont High School. Larry was recognized for his coaching at Fairmont, Fairmont East, and Kettering Fairmont from 1960 to 1992. Larry was inducted by his son, David McVey, who is also a member of the Fairmont Athletic Hall of Fame.
